To begin with my teaching methods, I would firstly like to state that every student’s learning style is different (this is something I keep in mind when creating lesson plans). However, something all my lessons have in common is a formulaic approach to answering questions. With different question types, come different answering structures, this is looked at in depth to assure students of their structure. As for content, I create short quizzes designed to enhance my students knowledge of the specific material they will be taking to exams. I aim to make studying as painless as possible, and hope to inspire some fun with English - it is my favourite subject and I plan to make it yours too (I’m only slightly joking).

As for my experience, I spent one year tutoring in a classroom (GCSE/National 5), with one to one help on personal essays and close reading skills. As well as privately tutoring a student for a year that struggled with completing homework by the deadline - ensuring their success. Additionally I utilised my formulaic method and short quizzes to enhance their performance.

The lesson dynamics are based on person to person. I am available for sessions between 1-3 hours and this will greatly affect what work we produce together. I consider interactive learning to be the best course with most students, however if working in silence is your thing I’m more than happy to provide materials that we will go over together at the end of our designated time that day.
