My lessons would consist of the use of workbooks, and homework assistance for students of all ages, as well as the option for reading lessons as well to interest my student more. For preschool age students, I would focus primarily on the learning of their alphabet, and the spelling of words, accompanied by the reading of books with them to allow for the development of phonetic sounds and to identify them in other primary school, I would assist with homework tasks, alongside enhancing their English ability through reading and comprehension. As well as this, I would focus on their grammar and creativity by setting creative tasks, such as short story writing, or creative pieces that would enhance the variety of words that they use, alongside developing their use of typologies within descriptive and creative writing. I would also assist in spelling lessons, handwriting classes and the preparation for their SAT’s or eleven plus exams. For secondary school students, I would assist with homework, alongside assisting with the preparation for GCSE’s, through focusing on what they are already learning, alongside adding my own knowledge from the completion of my own. Furthermore, I would be able to assist with the revision and retention of knowledge for exams, through the provision of annotation textbooks for their GCSE topic. I would also be able to provide past resources for my students to refer to, in referral to creative writing which would also be beneficial for their preparation for exams, with feedback provided on each piece to allow for the identification of areas that they may need to work on in the future.
