I have experience in primary schools and with them I did some fun things like hands on activities such as nature trails . I don't believe in work sheets as I find them boring and want to make my teaching as creative as possible. I want to get to know you as a person and teach English in a way that would inspire you based on your interests . I am a singer , writer , youtuber and love music , drama and the arts and believe we can use all these things to make lessons more engaging and memorable . I am also very passionate about young people's well being and created a website on mental health so I love technology . I have a media qualification so know how to write scripts and do persuasive writing. I did my dissertation on music so that's something I am very passionate about . I like hands on activities that are catered to you . I believe they should be interactive and that teaching is a shared experience between pupil and student and we learn from one another. I also believe we should all be playful to express ourselves and make memorable learning experiences so I love getting materials out to demonstrate as this links to Bruner's modes of representation of iconic , enactive and symbolic learning . I also believe children should find things out for themselves and learn through being explorers which links to Piaget's theory of development. I want my student to feel in control of their learning experience and be honest with me if something is or isn't working. I am a very honest person myself and will not be afraid to tell you or guide you if I feel you are struggling . I have seven years of retail experience so believe from that I have learnt lots of good people skills including listening , empathy and problem solving. I also learnt about reflective practice in childcare and learnt about the importance of adapting and changing lessons to suit all ages and abilities. I also learnt about SEN in that course and scored very highly in an assignment . I have anxiety and mild dystonic cerebral palsy so I'm very understanding of all learners and how education may feel for them and this makes me very willing to make changes to my lesson plans to suit your needs , you just have to communicate with me :) I can guarantee that any lesson with me will be a very rewarding, fun and imaginative experiences as I love finding innovative ways to do things. I also believe in praise in the form of compliments as I'm a big believer in raising people's self esteem and confidence so they feel like they can do everything !
