Hi!
I have been taking online classes of KS 3 Level and GCSE level since 2020 (offline since 2013). Using Google Meet platform. I teach using pen-tablet. The child's camera is to be ON during the session. Online classes are very much comfortable as we can take them from anywhere, so we don't miss the lessons just because either the student or I am out of town. The missed lessons are surely rescheduled. My students love to take lessons as they can make choice what topic they would like do. We practice through lots of worksheets from different websites (Afterall practice makes us perfect!!). I believe that if a student do questions alone, it helps them to think more, in a different way and proves how much have the student understood. So I give homework worksheets (usually for the weekend), which they submit on the fixed date, I check it and explain the incorrect questions in the next lesson. We do dedicated lessons that include few minutes of general talk and remaining time on covering the syllabus. For teaching I use various sources such as websites, Indian books and notes from the student's school. My way of teaching totally depends on the child. One thing I make sure is that the child makes notes. Writing notes helps students to memorise topic better. They also prove helpful during assessments. I have seen my students really improving their scores. Online classes is all about trust between the teacher and the child. Let's book a demo class!!
Thanks
