I’ve achieved A* in GCSE maths along side an A in A-level maths, and am currently studying economics in my second year at university on track for 2.1 for the end of this year (so maths is where my expertise lie).
My lessons will reflect my personal experience and the way I learnt and understood maths to achieve good grades, which is through setting a baseline to understand what the student understands well and what they seem to struggle with, though focusing on where the issues seem to lie and then reassessing the students understanding as often as needed we can truly focus on the issues the student faces before tying everything together in the end.
I have quite a lot of experience dealing with neurodivergent children through helping and tutoring younger family members over the years so there is no need to worry about my ability to either take things slower or change my tutoring style to fit each students specific needs.
My lessons will be tailored and planned well before each session, my first session will gauge what type of student I’m dealing with, what gets them focused, what gets them motivated, what they need to work on etc. this will allow me in all other session to create a clear revision plan which will be shared with the student/family so they understand what each lesson will focus on.
Any questions at all please let me know and I’ll get back to you ASAP
