I have taught for as long as I have been learning, often taking a leading role in peer study groups throughout basic and higher education. I have also been profoundly changed by teachers who have managed to make learning fun. I have taken all of these experiences with me into my own formal teaching, where I have been tutoring undergraduate students at the University of Hull in different social sciences, including History, American Studies and Criminology. Through professional development and by demonstrating I understand how to teach to diverse groups of students with varying learning needs, I have been accredited my Associate Fellowship status by AdvanceHE.
The structure of our lessons will depend on your goals, but I will aim to always include a range of activities that will help guide you through the content we will be working on together. I am neurodivergent and as such have a personal understanding of how learning needs to be tailored in order to be effective, in addition to having studied neurodivergence in my Bachelor's in Psychology and as part of my AdvanceHE accreditation course, so if you have any particular learning needs please feel free to discuss them with me.
