Each lesson, we will focus on one topic, first completing some questions to find areas of weakness and then teaching concepts as needed to either cement knowledge already introduced in the classroom or teaching it for the first time. This will be supported by example questions and, for some age groups, visual cues as suited to the individual. I am happy to try various tools in order to ensure that students truly understand what we’re working on together. I aim to do this more effectively by being approachable and friendly. I have volunteered in a primary school helping students 1 on 1 with maths lessons as well as tutoring my peers including homework help and concept teaching as necessary. Teaching is not one-size-fits-all so it’s important that we work together to find what works best, and I hope that you’ll communicate what’s worked well for you so that we can move forward in the most effective and positive way.
