I am an experienced tutor in English, especially literature - where I focus on literary and political theory, especially how literature interacts to the conditions and competencies of the time period. How was the treatment of women influential in the novel? How were Queer and gender-diverse people treated at the time, and how can we see this is the play? I believe, by analysing complex historical faculties and considering the play of literary trends and theories of the time, we can work together to build a knowledge of English literature and language that is not only extremely broad, but deep. I believe, that in committing our time to the theory behind works in English, we can build a base of knowledge that will enable all students to provide an excellent explanation and analysis of any work, poetry, novel, play, collection, etc. - both in verbal and written examination. Together, we can analyse any works in English or French literature - although I tend to focus on Shakespeare, early 20th Century (1900s) Literature, and Modern Works of Poetry and Prose. I am a kind, understanding, and empathetic tutor who can work with students of all ages, skill levels, and abilities, to get you through exams in English - no matter if you’re in love with the English language and it’s literatures, or you struggle with the intricacy of the works. I can work with those who’s first language is English, or work as an ESL tutor for those less experienced in the language.
