As a first-year Financial Mathematics student at the University of Nottingham with an A in A-Level Mathematics, I provide clear, structured, and engaging lessons for both GCSE and A-Level Mathematics students. My sessions are fully interactive and designed around the individual student. We begin by identifying strengths, weaknesses, and goals, then work through topics step by step using clear explanations, worked examples, and guided practice. I focus on building a strong understanding of core concepts, making sure students understand why methods work rather than relying on memorisation.
I adapt my teaching style to suit different learning preferences, whether a student benefits from slower-paced explanations, visual methods, frequent questioning, or more challenging problem-solving. Lessons can be used to learn new content, consolidate schoolwork, catch up on missed topics, or revise efficiently for upcoming assessments. I also dedicate time to exam technique, helping students interpret exam questions accurately, structure their answers clearly, and manage time effectively under pressure.

Alongside lesson content, I support students with homework, revision strategies, and creating personalised study plans. Having recently completed A-Levels, I have a strong understanding of current GCSE and A-Level specifications and the demands students face. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to boost confidence, motivation, and independence, equipping them with solid mathematical foundations that will support their future studies.

I aim to create a supportive, patient learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and steadily developing confidence and resilience in mathematics through consistent practice and encouragement.
