Genarally I have started with video that is related with the topic or I can tell the story of one mathematicians that is interesting and I try to cath pupils' attention to the lesson.I ask questions for example you have an apple and you have share it your brother equally what are you doing? Or in their birthday how their mother cuts slices of cake and all people can eat same of size? Is there any relationship between slices and whole cake. If I have chance I can bring a cake or apple and show them fractions visually. If I have online document I let students listen online lecture after that I tell the something in detailed and give different examples. Then, I give time to students to take a note. After that I asked different example to them to solve. According to their performance I can tell the lecture again or ask one of student to come to in front of students and become a teacher. If it is not working I encourage the students to ask question by using my questions. Generally I prefer teacher centered teaching because it is safe but the level of students are similar I encourage them write a song about the topic or write poem. I ask them how they can show their feeling about the topic. If they show and give something that is related with topic I can put plus near to their name. In my class getting plus is easier than anything.
