With over 8 years of tutoring experience, I’ve worked with students at every level from 11+ entrance exams through to Further Maths A-level. I hold A* grades in Maths and Further Maths at A-level and A* in GCSE Maths, along with a degree in Maths and Economics from UCL and a Masters from Imperial College London.

My lessons are tailored to each student. I start by understanding where they are, what they’re working towards, and where the gaps are. From there, I build sessions around their specific needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

A typical lesson involves working through problems together, breaking down concepts step by step, and building confidence through practice. I focus on making sure students truly understand the “why” behind methods, not just memorising steps. This helps them tackle unfamiliar questions in exams with confidence.

For exam preparation, I use past papers and targeted question sets to focus on the topics that will make the biggest difference to each student’s grade. I also help with exam technique, time management, and how to approach multi-mark questions effectively.
I’m patient, encouraging, and adaptable. Every student learns differently and I adjust my teaching style to match. Whether a student needs to build fundamentals from scratch or is aiming for top marks, I’ll meet them where they are.
