My lessons are all about making science clear, engaging, and (dare I say it)… fun! GCSE science can sometimes feel overwhelming with all the formulas, processes, and tricky concepts, but together we’ll break it down into manageable chunks that actually make sense.
I like to start each lesson by checking in on what you already know and identifying areas you’d like to improve. From there, we’ll build up step by step. I often use quick quizzes, exam-style questions, and real-life examples to make sure the knowledge sticks. For example, instead of just memorising photosynthesis, we might link it to how your favourite snacks are made—or when tackling physics, connect the topic to how rollercoasters work.
Lessons usually mix short explanations with interactive tasks. You won’t just sit and listen; you’ll be actively involved, asking questions, solving problems, and testing your understanding. I’m also big on exam technique: past papers, mark schemes, and strategies to help you feel confident under pressure are a regular feature.
Every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach. Some sessions might focus on revising tricky topics in detail, while others are about quick recap games, diagrams, or mnemonics to help you remember key facts. My aim is always to keep the sessions dynamic and enjoyable, so you come away feeling more confident each time.
Ultimately, my lessons are a supportive space where mistakes are part of learning, science becomes more approachable, and exam success feels achievable!
