I am a professional violinist and dedicated teacher with over 20 years of experience performing and teaching. I hold Master’s degrees in Music Education and Ethnomusicology and currently teach for Tower Hamlets Arts & Music Education Service in London, working with children, teenagers and adults of all abilities.
My lessons are carefully tailored to each student’s goals, whether you are taking your very first steps, preparing for ABRSM or Trinity exams, developing orchestral and chamber music skills, or simply learning for the joy of playing. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching to suit individual learning styles, helping students build confidence, solid technique and genuine musical understanding.
A typical lesson combines technical development with enjoyable repertoire, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm work and musicianship. I encourage students to think creatively, listen carefully and develop healthy practice habits that lead to long-term progress.
As an active performer on both violin and the Persian kamancheh, I bring real-world musical experience into every lesson. I have performed internationally with orchestras, chamber ensembles and theatre productions, allowing students to benefit from practical insights into performance, stage confidence and expressive music-making.
Whether your ambition is to pass exams with distinction, join an orchestra, prepare for auditions or simply enjoy making music, I aim to provide inspiring, supportive and structured lessons in a relaxed and encouraging environment.
I also place great importance on communication with parents and adult learners, providing clear guidance, achievable goals and regular feedback. My aim is to make every lesson enjoyable, motivating and rewarding, helping each student develop a lifelong appreciation and love of music.
