My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. At the start, I like to understand the student’s goals—whether that’s improving grades, building confidence, or preparing for exams—so I can adapt sessions accordingly.

Each lesson typically combines clear explanations of key psychological concepts with interactive discussion and application. I break down complex topics into manageable steps and use real-life examples, including insights from my experience as an Assistant Psychologist, to make content more engaging and easier to understand. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping students structure essays, apply key theories, and approach different question types effectively.

My approach is flexible and student-centred. I regularly check understanding throughout sessions and adapt my pace to ensure the student feels confident before moving on. I also incorporate active learning techniques, such as practice questions, scenario-based discussions, and revision strategies, to reinforce knowledge and improve retention.

Through my roles as an Assistant Psychologist and SEND teaching assistant I have developed my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, adapt to different learning needs, and create a supportive, encouraging environment.

Overall, my aim is to make psychology accessible, engaging, and relevant, while helping students build both their knowledge and confidence.
