My lessons are structured and personalised to each student’s needs. I begin by identifying strengths, gaps in knowledge, and learning style, then design lesson plans with clear objectives so students always know what they are working towards. Lessons are typically delivered online using Microsoft Teams, with guided explanations and independent question practice.
I focus on building strong foundations first, as confidence comes from understanding the “why” behind a topic, not just memorising answers. I use worked examples, exam-style questions, and real-world analogies to make challenging concepts more accessible, particularly in Maths, English, and Science. Where helpful, I set short tasks or revision strategies between sessions and track progress over time using structured monitoring tools so I can adapt lessons as the student develops.
I have several years of tutoring experience, including private remote tutoring for KS2 and KS3 students and working in a fast-paced tuition centre delivering both one-to-one and small-group tutoring. Alongside tutoring, I am a qualified medical graduate and current resident doctor, which has strengthened my ability to explain complex information clearly, communicate calmly, and tailor explanations to different levels of understanding.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and goal-focused. I aim not only to improve academic performance but also to help students become more confident, independent learners.
