My name is Evita Livera and I am a Chartered accountant, ACA qualified. I have a degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Warwick. I have been teaching the past 12 years accounting to undergraduate students at the University of Cyprus and other Univesities. Courses I have taught include the introductory accounting course to 1st year students, UK Taxation to 4th year students ,Management Accounting and Costing to 2nd and 3rd year students and Advanced Financial Reporting to 4th year students. My final exams and marking guide have been reviewed by an external examiner of ICAEW for advanced financial reporting and UK taxation. Generally, I have taught how to prepare financial statements, the trial balance, journals, the accounting cycle, cash flow statement, statement of changes in equity, accrued and prepaid expenses, inventory, financial assets and financial liabilities, intangible assets and property, plant and equipment, ratios etc. In the advanced financial reporting course I have taught goodwill, and adjustments for intra group transactions with the purpose of preparing consolidated statement of financial position, consolidated statement of profit or loss, consolidated statement of changes in equity and consolidated statement of cash flows. The students have also been studying IAS12 deferred tax. In the UK taxation course I have taught the differences in tax evasion/tax avoidance/tax planning, income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax etc. I can help you with the understanding of your course content and help you prepare for your exams.
