I want to get to know each child so that i can incorporate their interests into the teaching. I try to make the lessons fun and engaging and not repetitive, so that the student can enjoy the lesson while also learning. I am patient and friendly and I want to help anyone with anything primary maths level. I have a sister who was previously a maths teacher and she has passed on a lot of her knowledge to me. I also currently attend a grammar school, so I have the experience of passing the 11+ maths exam. I can help with exam technique and revision methods, as well as organising homework/practice time. I will get to know the student during the first lesson and help figure out what they want to focus on and improve within the maths lessons. Each lesson would be an hour long, as often as needed/wanted. Depending upon the child’s age, I can use things like stuffed animals or drawings to make topics and lessons more exciting and understandable.
