effectively, it is important to:

Learn the grammar thoroughly.
Consistency is key. It's better to study for 30 minutes a day rather than taking two 2-hour lessons per week.

Passive listening is essential for language comprehension, so make sure to engage in it regularly.

It is also important to challenge yourself by practicing active production and putting your knowledge to the test.
