Esther Omotomi

I am a friendly, patient and approachable Maths tutor who enjoys helping students understand Maths and become more confident in their abilities. I am currently studying Physics at university, where Maths is an important part of my course. I also have previous experience supporting younger students with Maths through volunteering at school, where I worked with S2, S3, S4 and S5 students.
Through my volunteering experience, I supported students with different areas of Maths and helped them work through questions they found challenging. This taught me the importance of being patient, listening to students and explaining concepts in different ways depending on their individual needs. I really enjoyed seeing students become more comfortable with topics they initially found difficult.
I offer Maths tutoring for National 5, Higher and GCSE students. My lessons are tailored to each student's ability, learning style and goals. I can help with understanding difficult topics, working through practice questions, homework, test preparation and exam revision. I like to break complicated questions down into smaller, manageable steps so that students can understand the process rather than simply memorising an answer.
I also encourage students to ask questions and explain their thinking, as I believe this is an important part of developing strong mathematical understanding. For exam preparation, I can help students practise different question types, identify areas that need improvement and become more confident when approaching unfamiliar problems.
My aim is to create a supportive and relaxed learning environment while keeping lessons focused and productive. I understand that every student learns differently, so I am happy to adapt my explanations and the pace of lessons according to their progress. Whether a student needs help with a particular topic or would benefit from regular Maths support, I would be happy to help them work towards their academic goals.
