I begin each lesson by asking my student about their day to create a relaxed and open environment. In the first session, we work through past exam papers together to assess their current level and identify areas of difficulty. I make note of recurring challenges so we can revisit those topics in future lessons and track progress over time.

Once we’ve established a baseline, I tailor each session to the student’s goals, whether that’s improving grades, preparing for exams, or building confidence in the subject. I use PowerPoint slides to guide explanations and adapt my teaching style to suit different learning preferences - visual, verbal, or practical. We continue working through exam-style questions, marking them as we go, with a focus on exam technique and time management.

I encourage students to explain concepts back to me, helping them consolidate their understanding and gain confidence. At the end of each lesson, I ask what they’d like to cover next time, ensuring that every session is personalised and responsive to their needs.
