My aim is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand why their method works. I believe in strengthening foundational knowledge and conceptual understanding first. I then tailor each lesson to the student's specific weaknesses and goals to maximise their progress. Students are also encouraged to bring any challenging questions they have encountered to the lesson.

Rather than simply showing students the solution, I review their workings, identify exactly where any errors or misconceptions occurred, and use targeted hints to guide them towards the correct answer themselves. To ensure the method is fully understood, I provide similar follow-up questions for the student to practise. I am also happy to provide full worked solutions to relevant questions after the lesson.

For many students, I recommend starting with one one-hour lesson per week, although frequency and lesson length can be adapted around the student's goals and upcoming examinations. We will also use a shared platform where the student can access lesson notes, workings, and corrections at any time.

About Me
I am studying Mathematics at the University of Warwick, having graduated from Brighton College. I achieved four A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, scoring 97% in Mathematics, 95% in Further Mathematics and 92% in Chemistry. Before this, I completed my GCSEs in the UK, achieving eleven grade 9s (or the highest grade equivalent). Having recently gone through the GCSE and A-Level system myself, I understand the challenges students commonly face and can offer relevant guidance on both difficult concepts and exam preparation.

Alongside my academic studies, I volunteered as a peer tutor through Brighton College's tutoring provision, earning an internal Brighton College tutoring qualification. This experience helped me develop my teaching strategies, particularly in explaining complex concepts clearly and adapting my approach to the individual student.
