I am a very passionate musician and I like to infect people with my enthusiasm for music and especially for the electric bass.
I like to have a friendly approaching, adapting the lessons to the needs and feedback of the students and creating a dynamic environment between theory and practical exercises.
The starting point is to get a basic music theory knowledge as it is the foundation for developing technical exercises that allow you to grow up.
Once that foundation is solid we'll dig deep in complex theory. Same with rhythm and techniques because becoming an instrumentalist is a mix of these things.
Sometimes I provide pdf, videos with backing tracks or partitures as a guide to create a routine of study and playing.
We will learn songs that helps to understand how theory works and from time to time we play songs chosen by the student to stay motivated and eager to learn.
I worked professionally ten years with several ensembles touring across my country so I had the chance and duty of learn and play lots of different music styles so as part of the journey I like to share my knowledge through many different styles: Jazz (classical and modern), Rock, Funk, Blues, Pop, Metal, Latin (salsa, cumbia, merengue...), Flamenco and more.
In my opinion is always good and fun to be open minded with music styles because they handle different metrics, rhythms and techniques.
It isn't mandatory though.
Always willing to help students to develop their own style and getting a full toolbox of resources to use when playing.
