Emma Johnson-Doyle

I am a teacher of key stage one -key stage three. I am a apecialist in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, Speech Language and Communication and English aswell as functional skills. I take a multimodal approach to teaching including, 'Talk for Writing' and 'Philosophy for Children'. I have a creative approach to teaching with recent training in the content and concepts of the National Curriculum. I have over thirteen years of previous childcare experience and four years SEND school experience. I provide all the materials to enable pupil's to achieve the agreed intended outcomes. I work to assist with homework, exams and testing. I will teach at a pace to suit the individual and use motivational contexts that are based on pupil interest and level of ability. I work in a SEND school locally for the council and am a personal assistant for two disabled children. My children have complex needs so I understand a parent's view on education for SEND. I have a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Language and will complete Primary PGCE with NQT in July. I have experience working with PMLD and complex needs. I write poetry and short stories in my spare time and reading is my passion. I utilise educational trips where appropriate in agreement with parents to reinforce learning done in the classroom.
