I’m an experienced music and performing arts tutor who enjoys working with people of all abilities, from complete beginners through to advanced and postgraduate students. I tailor each lesson to the individual, making sure sessions are supportive, encouraging, and pitched at the right level, with enough challenge to keep things interesting and motivating. My online lessons are lively, interactive, and well-structured, and I aim to create a relaxed learning environment where students feel confident, engaged, and genuinely enjoy learning while making clear progress.
I have strong experience supporting students with GCSE and A Level Music, particularly the Eduqas and Edexcel exam boards, and I’m very familiar with their specifications, terminology, and assessment requirements. I help students build confidence with set works, listening questions, composition, and exam technique, breaking things down clearly and making revision feel manageable rather than overwhelming. I also teach music theory for ABRSM and Trinity exams, from the basics through to higher-grade theory, adapting explanations to suit different learning styles. My lessons focus on understanding rather than rote learning, helping students feel well-prepared, challenged at the right level, and confident going into their exams.
