I am currently a university student studying Philosophy, Psychology and Scientific Thought and I previously achieved three A Levels at Grade A in History, Religious Studies and English Language and Literature. Therefore I can teach both content and exam technique, with my lessons aiming to cover both. I am also a native English speaker who also has studied both English subjects at both GCSE and A Levels and has achieved high grades and so am able to teach English as a second language. I have previously completed work experience as a teaching assistant in a secondary school and so have witnessed how to teach effectively. Furthermore I have hands on experience of educating much younger people on topics I was less knowledgeable on when I assisted on a farm that had a petting zoo, with my job being to educate younger children on the animals and how to care for them. I prefer to teach with a mixture of my teaching and then the student having tasks to complete and am also completely open to adapting lessons based off of the students specific needs/methods that they find easier to learn from. I have also undergone tutoring myself and so understand how it works and how to deliver a valuable tutoring session where the student can learn effectively. I am also very patient and am not easily frustrated, therefore I am able to easily continue teaching and adapt lessons or teaching methods when necessary if the student is struggling or requires additional support.
