I believe that learning is a very individual journey therefore my first lesson with a student/s I start off with getting to know the student and their personality and their individual learning style and hobbies to ensure maximum success in their learning and adjust my lessons around each individual learner as no two learners work the same way as nobody has the same brain. I then build off the individuals style and passions and teach through my own experiences. I find teaching basics and building on them to a core point then allows all details and complexity to be built on quickly. It is all about ensuring fun engaging learning takes place and not just sitting listening. In a modern world it is crucial to create a space where the student also has creativity and their own ideas expressed when learning and I find a student lead lesson always help as the child with guidance pushes themselves the further! After multiple lessons I try push in my lessons for independence and using their initiative and questions to be asked so it is less of a teacher is in control and more free will and makes learning feel like it’s a two way street. However my main focus through my learning is to ensure maximum confidence and engagement. I have 3 years of classroom experience teaching my own lessons to children which have been very successful! This has ranged from 5 year olds to 12 year olds. I am still on going university courses to add onto my knowledge and gain more experience and skill and I believe learning is a constant cycle.
