Emily Shaw

Hi! My name is Aster and I am currently studying Biology at Durham University! I love teaching and helping students experience education in a way that is personally tailored to their needs. In my 5 years of tutoring, my favourite aspect has been seeing students confidence grow in school and outside of school. My goal is to boost your confidence both in your academic abilities and yourself! School and exams are not for everyone, and I am eager to help students find a way to study that works for them, not just the system. I want to help students enjoy the content they study, not just to succeed! I am personally passionate about English literature, specifically studying dystopian texts. I also love biology, in particular studying genetics and human biology in general, I love understanding how things work! I am eager to help students who feel like school is not the place for them, and also those who love learning and need a boost.
