I use evidence-based teaching approaches drawn from psychology itself. This includes “scaffolding” (breaking complex topics into manageable steps), active learning techniques to help you apply theories, and metacognitive strategies that build your ability to plan, monitor, and evaluate your own learning. I also take a constructivist approach, helping you link new ideas to what you already know so concepts feel meaningful rather than memorised.
Lessons can include theory explanations, exam preparation, essay support, case studies, and real-world examples from my experience working alongside forensic psychologists in the Scottish Prison Service.
