My lessons are friendly, supportive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, so I aim to create a positive environment where they can build both their understanding and confidence in maths.

Before starting, I like to identify the areas the student finds difficult and understand what they are currently working on at school. This allows me to plan lessons around their specific needs rather than simply following a fixed programme. I can support students with GCSE, Key Stage 2 and 3 Maths, whether they need help understanding a particular topic, preparing for an upcoming test or building their confidence across the subject.

Lessons are interactive and usually involve a mixture of explanation, worked examples and practice questions. I will first explain the topic clearly and break more difficult concepts into manageable steps. We can then work through examples together before the student attempts questions independently. I encourage students to explain their thinking so that I can identify exactly where they may be struggling and adapt my teaching accordingly. At the end of the lesson, we can review what has been covered and identify anything that would be useful to practise further.

I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths and am currently studying A-Level Maths, giving me recent experience of the GCSE course and the skills needed to succeed in it. I also have around six months of tutoring experience, during which I have developed my ability to explain concepts clearly, be patient and adapt my approach to different students.

Whether a student is struggling with a topic or simply wants to become more confident in maths, my aim is to make each lesson productive, encouraging and suited to their individual goals.
