Firstly, the student will be assessed to understand their strengths and weaknesses of the topic. I can then push their strengths further and build up the weaker areas to overall increase the students confidence, self esteem and increase grades. I find including the student in learning tasks and using relatable examples is very beneficial for the pupils understanding and learning of content. I like to show visual PowerPoints, pictures and diagrams while explaining verbally and making notes with the pupil, whichever way the student finds they learn best, will be used mainly to teach content.
