I am an Engineering graduate from the University of Oxford with over four years of experience tutoring A-Level Physics. I achieved A* grades in both subjects myself, so I understand the level of preparation, consistency and exam technique required to achieve top grades.

My lessons are highly personalised and structured around each student’s individual needs. I typically begin by asking the student to complete a diagnostic assessment, usually in the form of a past paper or a selection of exam-style questions. This allows me to identify their strengths, pinpoint any gaps in their knowledge and develop a clear plan for improvement.

I usually teach topic by topic, ensuring that each area of the syllabus is fully understood before moving on. I then help students build a sound understanding of the underlying physics, carefully explaining theory and methods step by step. I make sure students understand not only how to use a technique, but also why it works, so that they can apply it confidently in unfamiliar questions.

Once any knowledge gaps have been addressed, we revise the full course content systematically and practise a wide range of exam-style questions. In my experience, regular question practice is the most effective way to strengthen problem-solving skills, improve accuracy and build confidence. I also encourage students to explain their reasoning, which helps identify misconceptions and develop more efficient approaches. Throughout the course, I adapt my teaching style to suit each student's pace, ensuring they remain engaged, motivated and challenged.
