Having recently earned my BA Hons degree in Primary Education with QTS, I'm now enthusiastically teaching a mixed Year 1/2 class. My focus is always on creating lessons that are not only educational but also genuinely fun and engaging for my students. I believe that a positive learning environment is key, so I work hard to ensure my classroom is a safe and trusting space where children feel comfortable taking risks and expressing themselves.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in kindness. I firmly believe that children thrive most when they feel respected, valued, and appreciated for their individual strengths and contributions. Creating this atmosphere of mutual respect is essential to me, as it sets the stage for effective learning and personal growth. By fostering a classroom culture of empathy and understanding, I aim to empower my students to become confident, compassionate, and well-rounded individuals.
One of the greatest joys of teaching for me is witnessing those "lightbulb moments" when children grasp a new concept, especially in maths. There's nothing quite like seeing their faces light up with understanding and pride as they overcome challenges and make connections. It's these moments that fuel my passion for teaching and inspire me to continually seek new and innovative ways to support my students' learning journeys.
