Eloise Applin

Hello! My name is Eloise Applin; I would love to be your academic tutor.

To help you get to know me:
> I am an undergraduate STEM student completing a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science at the University of Southampton, working at a first-class level.

> At Brockenhurst College, I completed an Extended Project Qualification and studied A-Level Geography, Biology, and Environmental Science - achieving A*, A*, A, A grades.

> At Trafalgar School in Downtown, my GCSE results included two Grade 9s (in Biology and Geography), five Grade 8s (in Chemistry, Physics, History, English Language, and English Literature), a Grade 7 in Mathematics, and a Grade 6 in Spanish.

I have extensive experience as a student and also as a tutor to my fellow classmates and younger brother. I understand we all learn in different ways, and I would love to share my study tips and useful resources. To make revision a less daunting task, I believe in tackling small sections of the textbook at a time and using practice questions / past papers to reaffirm your knowledge and progress. Learning should feel rewarding. Certain topics can feel especially challenging when students feel 'stuck', so revisiting and thoroughly understanding the basics will often lead to breakthroughs in comprehension and results - especially in science.

I prefer to tutor remotely - to save my students time and money - but I am open to face-to-face tutorial sessions as well. I am widely flexible with the hours I am available. I would love to communicate with you so we can tailor our sessions to help meet your academic goals.
