I use direct learning methods straight from GCSE and A-Level textbooks for chemistry, biology, and geography, which are tailored towards the direct needs of the student. In particular, faster methods are needed to meet the short attention spans through active learning. This includes: showing direct examples explained step-by-step that can be replicated for similar questions, deconstructing 6-12 mark questions in a digestible manner, and recognising the implications of wellbeing on learning for specific topics (some topics may bring about anxiety if they have been long-term problem areas).
My subject-specific knowledge from my BSc (Hons) Geology (Volcanology) (2.1) allows for a wider breadth of understanding of the sciences. My methods may differ from your typical science and geography-based answers; however, geology has real-world examples that can be easier to visualise for practical learners.
Furthermore, I am blessed to provide live conversational practice for Spanish GCSE and A Level, due to my advanced competency degree enhancement in the Spanish language. I have achieved CEFR Level C1 (Advanced) in Spanish through this qualification; therefore, I can help with all aspects of the language and include science- and geography-specific vocabulary and concepts to really impress an examiner!
I pride myself in helping students achieve what they are truly capable of, and making often tiring and difficult subjects interesting due to their real-world implications.
