Welcome, here’s a little overview on the structure and style of my tutoring.

Firstly, my lessons will make you think and be creative with your learning. They will involve applying what you learn to real life contexts often and they will involve stimulating activities to really help you absorb grammar and new vocabulary in an enjoyable way.

Second, as I am a tutor, lessons will follow your current level and focus points. If you don’t have a current layout or structure, we can work together to create a plan of progression and choose focus points.

Third, I speak some basic Italian and Spanish, though I am not fluent, so lessons cannot be delivered in these languages. Nonetheless, this can be used occasionally to assist learning together where needed, if possible.

Fourth, I have experience working in schools and in tutor based settings (In Sri Lanka and Spain). Techniques established in these roles will be used to create lessons which are tailored to you and optimise progression. I am also in the process of qualifying in a TEFL (Teaching English in a Foreign Language) course, which is equipping me a range of new skills to bring to you.

Lastly, as a teacher, I am understanding and always encourage students to ask questions whenever needed. Mistakes will only facilitate better learning, so don’t be afraid to get started and make them! Learning English as a second language really is transformational for global opportunities.
