I am an educator with a Bachelors of Education degree with specialisation in Mathematics which I acquired after four (4) years of study at the university level. I have approximately ten (10) years of experience in the classroom teaching secondary school students and have taught Edexcel as well as AQA specifications over the years. Since 2022, I have also taken on the role of GCSE examiner in which I mark the papers of Mathematics and Statistics students for Pearson Edexcel. I believe that every child can access the Mathematics curriculum with proper guidance and enough practice. As such, i aim to motivate students to reach their highest potential in my lessons.

My first lesson with a student will include a diagnostic test so that I can have an understanding of their mathematical capabilities and know where to pitch future lessons with them.

The lessons that I normally do begin with a starter activity to help students with a refresher of the previous concept covered. New or continuing concepts will be covered and the student will then be given the chance to complete independent practice tasks to test knowledge acquired. We will go through the task and cover any areas that the student still does not feel confident in based on their responses.

I have taught students of varied abilities over the years and so, have the experience required to engage students at their level of readiness and aid them in taking steps towards their goals. We will work in line with the curriculum that the student's school follows so as to tackle misconceptions or difficulties that the student might have in a timely manner.
