Ellamae Beake

With over seven years of experience working in classrooms and schools, I bring a wealth of knowledge, flexibility, and enthusiasm to private tutoring. My teaching style is dynamic and adaptable, grounded in the understanding that every child learns differently. I believe that the most effective learning happens when lessons are tailored to suit the individual needs, interests, and learning styles of each pupil.

My main goal as a tutor is to boost a child’s confidence which allows them to take risks and become independent learners who aren't afraid of failure. I take time to get to know each learner, identifying their strengths, challenges, and preferred ways of working. Whether a child learns best through visual aids, practical activities, or discussion, I use a variety of approaches and resources to ensure lessons are engaging and accessible. Creativity, encouragement, and structure are all key elements of my sessions and have been successful for my students over the past 7 years.

I also place a strong emphasis on building a trusting and supportive relationship with each pupil. I believe this is the foundation of a successful learning partnership. When children feel safe, respected, and understood, they are far more likely to take risks, ask questions, and grow in confidence.

My background in education has taught me to be responsive, reflective, and always focused on progress-both academically and emotionally. I find it incredibly rewarding to witness a child become more confident and capable, and I consider it a privilege to be part of that journey.
