I’m a psychology graduate student, which means I’ve studied how people learn best and understand the most effective learning techniques. I plan to bring this knowledge into my tutoring by tailoring lessons that not only cover exam content but also help students learn smarter, not harder.

I like to structure my lessons by working backwards from exam style questions. Since GCSE exams have clear formats and topics, I start by looking at specific questions together with the student. This helps us identify exactly what they already understand and where their knowledge gaps are. From there, I focus on those areas, adapting my approach to the student’s natural learning style.

Every student learns differently, so I use a mix of techniques, like breaking concepts into manageable chunks, using visuals, and real life examples, to keep lessons engaging and clear. My goal is for students to understand deeply rather than just memorise facts.

I’ve tutored GCSE Maths before and have lots of experience working with children, which has helped me develop patience and clear communication skills. I create a supportive, relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, so they can learn at their own pace.

Ultimately, I want to help students build confidence and feel capable in their subjects, making learning enjoyable and effective.
