Hi, I’m Elizaveta, a native Russian speaker based in London and a fully qualified Russian tutor.
My lessons are built around real conversation, useful vocabulary, and the kind of language that actually feels natural in everyday life. I work with beginners who want a warm, structured introduction to the language, as well as with students who already know some Russian and want to move from “understanding” to “confidently speaking.”
Every lesson is personalised to your goals, pace, and interests. I prepare structured materials for each session, including grammar, vocabulary, and cultural context, but my teaching style is never dry or overly academic. We learn through interaction, meaningful topics, and authentic language.
Because I’m also learning a language myself (French), I understand how frustrating it can be to know a lot but still freeze when it’s time to speak. My lessons are designed to help you move through that stage with more confidence.
I have a background in psychology and international relations, which shapes how I teach. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely interested in my students as people, not just learners. I work with students of all levels and tailor lessons to your specific goals, whether that’s travel, work, family connection, literature, or simply building fluency for everyday life.
