INTRODUCTION TO MY TUTORING JOURNEY

Good evening everyone. Thank you for joining me today. My name is Elizabeth Toke and I'm excited to share my background as an aspiring online tutor dedicated to transforming education through personalized, impactful learning experiences.Growing up in a family of educators, both my parents are tutors and has profoundly shaped my passion for teaching. They instilled in me the fundamentals of patience, empathy, and knowledge-sharing from a young age. While their competence laid a strong foundation in basic tutoring principles, I've built upon it extensively, aiming to elevate tutoring to a more dynamic, tech-savvy level suited for the digital age.My qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Education from Federal University,Lokoja, where I specialized in Public administration,online pedagogy and curriculum design. I've earned certifications in digital teaching tools like Zoom, Google Classroom, and interactive platforms such as Kahoot and Nearpod. With over two years of informal tutoring experience,starting with helping siblings and neighbors,I've honed skills in adaptive lesson planning, student engagement, and assessment. What sets me apart are my qualities: unwavering enthusiasm, strong communication skills, adaptability to diverse learning styles, and a tech-proficient approach that makes virtual sessions interactive and fun.As an online tutor, my goal transcends basic instruction. I aspire to impart great knowledge that inspires lifelong curiosity in my pupils. By leveraging multimedia resources, real-world applications, and personalized feedback, I help students not just learn, but excel and innovate.
