My teaching style is progressive and rooted in a growth mindset. I design and deliver weekly lessons and quizzes, alongside monthly multiple-choice questions, mini-tests, and detailed feedback to track and support each student’s progress. I focus on strengthening critical thinking and problem-solving skills while tailoring expectations to individual goals. With patience and understanding, I build a relationship of trust, offering praise and encouragement to boost confidence and self-esteem.

I believe every student has the ability to succeed when given the right guidance and support. My lessons are interactive and engaging, encouraging students to ask questions and explore concepts at their own pace. I adapt my methods to suit different learning styles, ensuring that difficult topics are broken down into clear, manageable steps. Beyond exam preparation, I aim to inspire curiosity and a genuine interest in mathematics. By helping students develop resilience and self-belief, I not only prepare them for academic success but also equip them with skills that will benefit them well beyond the classroom.

I use practical examples from everyday life to make mathematics meaningful and accessible. Whether calculating discounts while shopping, analysing travel times and distances, interpreting graphs, or applying percentages to personal finance, I help students see how maths works in real-world situations. Over the past three years, all of my GCSE Higher students have achieved grades 8–9, while Foundation students have successfully met or exceeded their target grades. My structured yet supportive approach ensures that students develop strong mathematical foundations, exam confidence, and the skills needed to achieve their full potential.
