I personally like to use flash cards throughout my lessons, to learn and help students understand content, before moving on to exam style questions, however this can be adaptable depending on how students prefer to learn. Throughout the lesson, I regularly ask students for their input or any questions in order to make sure nothing getting skipped over. I have found that the best way to learn is simply if students ask questions when they don’t understand.
My goal is to not have students see me as a teacher, I want the atmosphere to be calm yet beneficial and to do so they can’t think I’m some sort or authority. Of course, with me only offering online sessions at the moment, it may be hard to keep some students attentive so I really try my hardest to keep the lessons as engaging as possible.
