My lessons are highly personalised and shaped around the individual student. I begin by identifying their goals, current understanding, strengths and specific sources of confusion. From there, I plan explanations, examples and questions that help them build confidence while making clear, measurable progress.

A typical lesson combines concise teaching, worked examples, targeted questioning and independent practice. I encourage students to explain their thinking aloud so that I can identify misconceptions, gaps in knowledge or places where their reasoning breaks down. We then work through these difficulties together before applying the ideas to increasingly challenging problems. I do not simply teach students to copy a method for one type of question; I help them understand the underlying physics and develop strategies they can use when faced with unfamiliar problems.

Lessons can focus on consolidating difficult topics, improving mathematical problem-solving, preparing for examinations or stretching a student towards the highest grades. Where appropriate, we analyse past-paper questions, mark schemes and examiner expectations so students understand both the physics and how to communicate it effectively under exam conditions.

I am a Cambridge-trained qualified teacher with six years of experience, including working as Head of Physics at a leading international school. My students have achieved exceptional GCSE and A-level results, with more than 70% attaining A or A* grades across multiple years. I have also supported successful university applications to Cambridge, MIT, Brown, Imperial and UCL. My lessons are friendly and encouraging, but also intellectually ambitious: students are supported, challenged and expected to think.
