Hello! I'm Elisabeth, a Biology student at the University of York, with a passion for natural world but especially plants and insects!
I teach primarily biology and french, but can also support students who may need support in GCSE chemistry or german. My background as a nature summer camp monitor in Belgium has given my experience working with children aged 5 to 17, teaching ecology and identification skills in a hands on and playful manner. I also have experience working as a teaching assistant in the UK in the modern foreign languages department of a secondary school, in year 8 and year 10 french classes, as well as some private biology tutoring experience.
I hope to make my lessons as interactive and dynamic as possible to engage students in the subject matter, but most importantly to tailor sessions to the student's needs. So let me know in advance of lessons your specific goals and concerns so we can focus on the most challenging areas and build up your confidence in the wider subject matter!
