To help you understand a topic, I like to use a mixture of explanation, followed by mini practice quizzes and then some practice questions where we can work through examples and work through a part of the question or topic where you are stuck. I also like to ask for your opinion and see if there is something we could work on for the following sessions and I am open to changing my teaching style to suit you best. I am quite creative so I like to visually explain topics or use other sources such as YouTube videos, diagrams, quizzes, flashcards and poster making.
I did GCSE Maths and Biology, and I am now a Teaching Assistant for Maths. I understand it can be a tricky subject but with the right methods of teaching, having a slower pace and personalised tutoring session can be valuable in boosting your confidence and developing a better grasp of some tricky topics! I can give you a space to ask questions and give you time and materials to practice and become more confident in maths and biology.
