I teach Russian across multiple levels, developing students’ linguistic skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Whether you are a complete beginner, need an intensive course for work or relocation or a few exam revision sessions, I am here to assist.
As a professional translator I offer proofreading services or consultations on various translation queries for my fellow linguists.

I have taught students aged 6 onwards, and have over 10 years of experience preparing students for both GCSE, A Level and TRKI examinations, including Cambridge Pre-U and Pearson Edexcel specifications. My teaching focuses on creating engaging, well-structured lessons that motivate students and encourage active participation while maintaining high academic standards.

I am especially committed to fostering enthusiasm for languages and promoting cultural understanding alongside language acquisition. In my teaching, I incorporate a wide range of cultural and contemporary topics to help students connect with the language in meaningful ways. I also encourage independent learning and curiosity, supporting students as they explore literature, film and broader cultural themes relevant to their studies.

In the current political climate, I believe it is especially important to help students engage thoughtfully with Russian culture beyond the headlines. Promoting cultural understanding helps students appreciate the richness and diversity of Russian society while developing the empathy and global outlook that language learning can uniquely foster.

The price cited below is per hour but I also offer 20, 30 or 45 minute sessions at £20, £30 or £45 respectively as some students prefer shorter sessions more frequently.
