Hi,
I’m Elena, a native Russian speaker living in London. Russian is my first language, and I have an excellent command of both spoken and written Russian, including grammar.
My lessons are for adults who want to improve their Russian in a relaxed and friendly environment. I believe the best way to learn a language is not simply to memorise rules, but to use it, hear it, understand it and gradually become comfortable speaking it.
Lessons can include conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar, depending on your level and what you would like to achieve. We can talk about everyday life, travel, culture, work, hobbies — or simply practise the situations in which you actually want to use Russian.
I’m patient and attentive, and I’m happy to explain something more than once or find another way of explaining it if necessary. Mistakes are absolutely welcome — they are part of learning.
And I don’t believe a lesson has to be serious every minute to be useful. We can laugh, have interesting conversations and enjoy the process while still making real progress.

I also understand that everyone learns differently. Some people want more conversation, others need more help with grammar or pronunciation. We can find the approach that works best for you and focus on the Russian you actually want to use in real life.
My goal is simple: I want you to finish each lesson feeling a little more confident in Russian than when you started.
