My lessons are relaxed, engaging, and completely tailored to each student. I like to begin by understanding your goals and the areas you’d like to improve, so we can build a plan that works for you. Each session combines explanation, practice, and discussion — with plenty of space for questions and exploration.

Having taught sailing to children, teenagers, and adults, I’ve learned how to adapt my teaching style to different ages and learning preferences. I believe in creating a positive, encouraging environment where students feel confident to make mistakes and learn from them.

In my STEM lessons, I often use real-world examples from engineering, physics, and everyday life to make abstract ideas easier to understand. I focus on building genuine understanding rather than memorisation, helping you develop the problem-solving mindset that science and maths rely on.

Whether you’re catching up, preparing for exams, or aiming to deepen your curiosity, my goal is to help you enjoy learning and see how STEM connects to the world around you.

I also love working with very young learners. Having spent significant time teaching maths in particular to young children, my approach with children is playful and patient — using stories, simple experiments, and visual aids to keep lessons fun and memorable. I focus on nurturing curiosity and confidence from the start, helping kids see science and maths as exciting adventures rather than difficult subjects. Whether we’re exploring shapes, numbers, or the natural world, I make sure every session feels positive, encouraging, and full of discovery.
