I usually begin by identifying the student's current level, areas they find difficult, and what they would like to achieve. I then break topics down into clear, manageable steps and work through examples together. Students will have plenty of opportunities to practise questions, ask questions and explain their thinking.
As a Bachelor’s student in Aeronautical Engineering, I use mathematics regularly in my degree, including problem-solving, calculations and applying mathematical concepts to engineering situations. This has developed my ability to approach challenging problems logically and methodically.
I can help students build confidence with topics they find difficult, whether they need support with understanding the basics, practising exam-style questions or developing their problem-solving skills. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions.
My lessons are adapted to the student's pace. If a student understands a topic quickly, we can progress to more challenging questions; if they are struggling, I will explain it in a different way and give them additional practice until they feel confident.
I am patient, organised and approachable, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. My engineering background has given me a strong mathematical foundation and taught me how to break complex problems into smaller, easier steps.
