Edie Griffiths

I am a dedicated Business and Economics teacher with over 10 years of international teaching experience, including roles at private schools, education centres, and start-up digital schools. I have also been an external examiner for IGCSE and Alevel Business and Economics, therefore am able to help you achieve the grades you really deserve! I have a strong academic background in Business and Education. I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Business Education from Manchester University, where I achieved a Grade 1 (Outstanding). Prior to this, I graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) in Business Management.

I love my subjects and am passionate about making learning engaging and relevant by integrating technology and real-world examples into my lessons. I have revision resources for you to use between sessions e.g. Quizlets, Waygrounds, knowledge checkers, exam questions. This allows you to consolidate the topics we have gone through, enabling us to build on them in the next session.

My teaching philosophy centres on sparking enthusiasm for the subject, fostering critical thinking, and tailoring lessons to meet your needs. I believe that a positive, dynamic learning environment helps students achieve their goals and develop a lifelong love of learning. I look forward to inspiring and supporting you on your educational journey! I keep students engaged by having a fast-paced, high-expectation, fun learning environment. I make regular links to economies all around the world and make reference to businesses/industries that I know students are interested in.
